JFK Law files claim against Alberta on behalf of Metis Settlements General Council seeking a stop to implementing Bill 57

On July 27th, 2021 – the Metis Settlements General Council filed a Statement of Claim with the Court of Queen’s Bench against the Government of Alberta to stop the implementation of Bill 57 which amends the Metis Settlements Act.

For this matter, the Metis Settlements General Council is represented by Robert Janes, QC and Christina Gray.
