On April 27, 2016 Karey Brooks was awarded the Outstanding Young Almunus Award by the UBC Alumni Association which “recognizes an alumnus/alumna of the Allard School of Law at UBC under 40 years of age whose endeavors in the practice of law, government service, the judiciary, business, legal academe, community service or other areas are worthy of recognition and have brought honor to the school.”
