Blair acts for First Nation, Métis, modern treaty groups, and Indigenous organizations throughout Canada, with a particular focus on Alberta and British Columbia. Blair’s work includes providing legal support in negotiating agreements with government and resource industry proponents, supporting clients in the consultation and regulatory process for resource extraction projects (with a primary focus on coal, forestry, and oil and gas infrastructure), developing and implementing governance mechanisms, and advocating for client interests in the drafting of federal and provincial law and policy.

Prior to law, Blair worked at a public consultation and community engagement consulting firm. In this capacity, he performed a public- and client-facing role in contentious environments ranging from housing policy to water treatment to large scale resource and infrastructure projects. This work ignited Blair’s passion to work at the intersection of the environment, natural resources, and Indigenous rights and economic development.

In Blair’s spare time he loves to travel and enjoy the outdoors. Excited to learn about the area he calls home, Blair runs, paddles, and explores the Pacific Northwest whenever he can.
