Carly has extensive experience working in the areas of government accountability, oversight, and fair administration.

Prior to joining JFK Law, Carly spent over 12 years working at the BC Ombudsperson in both investigations and management. She has experience in legislation and policy development, public sector and workplace investigations, and drafting a wide range of documents including public reports. She also has experience in executive-level consultation and collaboration with a variety of government bodies including provincial ministries, agencies, boards, commissions, tribunals, Crown corporations, school districts and health authorities.

Carly was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2009 and started her legal career at a boutique Aboriginal law firm in Victoria. She also has education and experience in environmental law, human rights, and internationally displaced persons.

Outside of work, Carly is committed to Flamenco dance, reading mystery novels, spending time with her family and planning their next travel adventure. She also loves to visit her family in her hometown of Saskatoon on Treaty 6 territory.
