JFK Law is Pleased to Welcome Our New Articling Student and Summer Students

JFK Law is pleased to introduce 3 new members of our team who will be joining us as they work on their articling and summer terms.

Emily Peiffer, has joined us in our Victoria office as an Articling student. Prior to articling at JFK, Emily practiced law in Tucson, Arizona where she worked with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and Mexican indigenous peoples. Upon her return to B.C. she worked with the Malahat Nation advocating to improve social determinants of health, especially in the context of COVID-19.

Shayla Praud is our Victoria office summer student. Shayla has completed her third year of her four-year legal degree in Candian Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders at the University of Victoria.

Verukah Poirier joins the Vancouver office as s summer student. Verukah Poirier is entering her third year at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Prior to joining JFK Law as a summer student, she worked with the BC First Nations Justice Council as a Gladue Report Writer.
