Karey Brooks and Jeff Langlois Co-Chair a Conference on Cumulative Effects and Infringement

Karey Brooks and Jeff Langlois led a PBLI conference on cumulative effects and infringement today. A description of the conference is as follows:

The concept of cumulative effects offers a wide lens to view the impact of development on Aboriginal groups.  Rather than focusing on narrow, project-specific impacts and infringements, cumulative effects includes long-term effects across a wide range of development projects.  By taking a larger view of the overall impact of development on Aboriginal communities, cumulative effects will dramatically change how projects are negotiated and disputes are resolved.
