Local opposition to Kinder Morgan’s proposed pipeline could effectively stop the project. Kinder Morgan has threatened to walk away from the project and set a May 31 deadline for the federal government to neutralize opposition from the BC Government that’s “vowed to use every tool to block it”.

UVic is offering the world’s first Indigenous law degree. The university will combine the study of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous law.

In early May, Ontario’s government announced that it has signed a series of resource revenue sharing agreements that will see First Nation’s leverage to negotiate with Canada increased.The agreements, made with First Nations represented by Grand Council Treaty #3, Wabun Tribal Council and Mushkegowuk Council, will see Ontario share 45 per cent of annual revenue from forestry stumpage with the First Nations.
