Charlotte Weston is an incoming associate at JFK. She is a member of Animakee Wa Zhing #37.

Prior to joining the firm, Charlotte articled with the Department of Justice Canada in Vancouver through its Legal Excellence Program. During her articles, she worked across several national litigation sections, including Indigenous Rights and Relations, Business and Regulatory Law, Public Safety Defence and Immigration, Criminal Law, and Tax. This experience provided her with exposure to complex litigation and constitutional matters, as well as issues engaging administrative law and Crown-Indigenous relations.

Charlotte earned her Juris Doctor in 2024. During law school, she was actively involved in Indigenous legal advocacy and governance-focused initiatives, including serving in leadership roles with the Indigenous Law Students’ Association. Her academic and professional interests centre on Indigenous governance, child and family law, and the implementation of Indigenous jurisdiction.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys creative projects, exploring new places to eat, and spending time outdoors.
