Karey Brooks acted for an LGBTQ Coalition at the BC Court of Appeal in the Law Society’s appeal of the BC Supreme Court decision to overturn the Law Society’s disapproval of TWU’s law school on the basis of its discriminatory admission policy.
The Law Society’s appeal was heard on June 1 to 3, 2016. The decision, dismissing the appeal, was released on November 1, 2016. The Law Society determined that it will seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
