JFK Law is Pleased to Welcome Our Summer Students

JFK Law is pleased to introduce 3 members of our team who will be joining us as they work on their summer terms.

Moira Kelly has returned to our Victoria office as a summer student. Moira will be entering her final year in the joint degree program in Canadian Common Law (JD) and Indigenous Legal Orders (JID) at the University of Victoria this fall. Prior to joining JFK Law, Moira worked as a research assistant for Dr. Sarah Morales and before law school she worked as a political staffer for Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change.

Isabel Klassen-Marshall  joins the Toronto office as a summer student. Isabel is entering her third year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During her time at law school, she has worked with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights working group on Indigenous Child Welfare and Self-Government, the Indigenous Law Journal, and the Algoma Community Legal Clinic in Sault Ste. Marie.

Ashley Wehrhahn  (she/her) joins the Vancouver office as a summer student. Ashley is a member of Sweetgrass First Nation in Saskatchewan (Treaty 6) and is entering her 4th and final year at the University of Victoria Indigenous Law Program (JD/JID). Ashley is currently the Co-Chair of the Indigenous Law Students Association (ILSA) at UVic Law and sits on the Board of Directors for the Environmental Law Centre (ELC). She also currently is a student representative on the Indigenous Advisory Council (IAC) for the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
