JFK Law Welcomes Verukah Poirier and Whitney Morrison

JFK is excited to welcome Verukah Poirier and Whitney Morrison as new members of our team at the Vancouver office.

Verukah returns to JFK after completing her judicial clerkship at the BC Supreme Court in Vancouver. She now joins our Dispute Resolution and Nation Building Practice Groups. Verukah previously served as a Youth in Care Representative at UBC, where she worked with Enrolment Services to create more inclusive spaces for Indigenous Youth in Care at the University.

Whitney brings extensive experience in activism, ranging from community organizing to political advocacy on Parliament Hill. Before pursuing law, she assisted the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, first as a Policy Analyst at the BC Assembly of First Nations and later as a Parliamentary Affairs and Policy Advisor at the Office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General. Whitney played a key role in federal Bill C-262 as well as with the passing of the BC Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act. She also recently completed a judicial clerkship at the BC Supreme Court and now joins our Nation Building Practice Group.

Please join us in welcoming Verukah and Whitney to our firm.
